Steven Hobé developed his acting skills from a solid foundation in theatre. He now takes film roles that speak to him on a character level. A major influence for Steven has been the work of the late actor, Philip Seymour Hoffman. Directors whose work he admires include, Paul Thomas Anderson & Todd Solondz.
Steven also has over twenty years’ experience as a voiceover artist, focusing on commercial and narration, with a focus on character work. Steven’s recent commercial work includes: Campbell’s, Canadian Tire, WestJet, Oakley, and Twizzlers
Steven received Best Actor at the 2020 ReelHeart Film Festival, as well as being nominated for Best Outstanding Movie Trailer, Best Voiceover by The 4th Annual Voice Arts® Awards. The awards evening took place at the Lincoln Center’s Fredrick P. Rose Hall in New York City.
When he isn’t acting & voicing, Steven teaches “The Business of Voiceover” at George Brown College.
